Enable global autoconf to continue if this one fails...
is there a way to enable this autoconf to pull settings out of the global one,
   so that changes can be tested before the main libs are installed?
   (and so this can be -compiled- if the main branch is not present?)

-> or should this be in an after-library?

note: seems to crash in fbcon?
also - consider multithreading screen update...  it could be done :)
