Hi Ben,

there should be no need to have a GPS fix (or a GPS connected at all) to fly in "manual" modes...
Of course you can't test the NAV mode then, but you should be perfectly able to fly in e.g. ATTITUDE_DIRECT mode.
In fact that is what I always do when I test indoors...

If this is somehow not working as expected for you, please let us know... that would then probably be a bug.

Cheers, Felix

Hi Ben,

I'm not quite sure what your problem is or what you want to do...

Could you please be a bit more specific on what exactly you want to test?

I want to test that this quad basically works - i.e. if I tell it to take off it spins the motors and if I tell it to go somewhere or wiggle the IMU it spins them differently. :-)

And why do you think you need a GPS fix for that currently?

Because (I think) the basic rotorcraft flight plan won't let me start the motors without a fix.

I'm building a rotorcraft and it would be much easier to test motors and such without a GPS fix.

Is there a way to create a flight plan (or something) that will do that?
