No, the accelerometers are all just fine. It was the messages were not sent until I added the code (given in my email) to start sending them.

Interesting GYRO messages are included with default fixed wing.

All seems normal except no output from ACCEL in messages either in
default or raw_sensors setting. So I edited the
"default_fixedwing.xml" file and added: <message name="IMU_ACCEL"
      period="1.1"/>

This gave me back the ACCEL messages.

Did someone get bored with seeing ACCEL messages and decided it should
not output by default? Seems like a nice thing to me to output. Am I
the only one who uses it?
