Hi,

There is an API for google groups to import old archives into google groups.
The biggest challenge will be to get to the archives, as savannah is not very
responsive. :) So it is possible to migrate the current archives. Additionally
I would propose to connect our list to http://gmane.org/. As their search and
browsing interface for archives is one of the better ones out there. This will
also add more redundancy to our "past knowledge" so that we don't loose it.

Yes we need to have the archives properly synchronised so that no matter what
place people look for information they will find it.

I know about the bias of many people to rather use forums, I personally think
forums are a horrible system, and the best way to burry information so that no
one will ever find them again. But that is just me. :)

So just to sum up:

* Google Groups +1
* Gmaine archive +1
* Forum 0

Cheers Piotr
