Hi.It will fly with 0.5W at 2.35Ghz (the antenna is tuned there) and if it proves to be suitable for the job then i will mount two high F/B ratio directional antennas at the wing tips each covering 180 degrees, driven with 5 to 25W @ 2.35 ghz (variable power) and switched according to the aircraft orientation with a RF switch. I decided to go this route because with tis antenna arrangement rf spillover to the fuselage will be minimal and there will be no blind spots. I hope the airplane will survive it's first auto2 flight so i can report back something :-)
