Felix,
Does this mean that my vintage 1.2.1 and Lite boards will be obsolete?  Aw man, I was just thinking about how fun it would be to get my parallel port programmer out and play with them.  *cough* SARCASM *cough*

Hi Heinrich,

personally I'm not interested in AVR support at all...
If you (or someone else) want's to update and maintain it, we would be more than happy to keep support for it.
But as it is right now it doesn't make any sense.

Hi Felix,
there are some  new low cost autopilots (<65$) with  the atmega1280.
Since  this processor has 256kB rom it may be a good idea  to use Paparazzi on it.

Hi all,

we plan to finally completely drop AVR support as it has been unused and unmaintained for quite a long time now.

So if someone is still using this, we would like to hear about it.
I think some antenna tracker code is still using _some_ parts of the AVR arch, but unless this is all really useful and needed it should be moved out.

In any case, as long as we don't have someone willing to maintain the AVR arch, it will have to go sooner or later...

Cheers, Felix
