There is another possible reason.
A faulty pitot tube.
A long time ago a plane i had would shut down the motor in AUTO2 mode 
and this was because
the pitot tube was broke and it was indicating an abnormally high airspeed.
The code of course would effectively shut down the motor since an 
airspeed of 3m/s were indicated as 23 m/s with a stall speed of 8m/s
