Directional antenna in the plane would be more complicated than an omnidirectional antenna plus amp. Perhaps not so bad on the ground. However, if you accidentally take an excursion above the legal EIRP limit, you might be more likely to cause someone else a problem with high TX power on omnis, than with directional antennas. Just a thought.
Wow, take care. At "close to theoretical maximum range", reception is very is susceptible to interference. Do you have access to UHF spectrum? Chris Gough |
