Hi Chris,
all xbees are supported if you just use them as "serial line replacements" with the "telemetry transparent" protocol.
You only need to select xbee_api as telemetry type if you actually want to use some features of the API mode of the xbees
(implemented in the xbee.[ch] files).
Also afaik all the xbees have the same API, regardless if you have the 2.4GHz or the 900MHz version.

After looking through the Xbee code in both xbee.c and xbee24.h I was wondering about the Xbee PRO-900. At the top of the Xbee24 header file it says it supports 900 MHz Xbee's and I just wanted to follow up and check on that since the Xbee 900 Pro's aren't documented as if they were supported on the wiki.
