I don't really understand what is the problem (perhaps because my English is really, really poor)
Nobody is forced to use one autopilot or another, right ?
Gareth just asked if people want to buy some Umarims with him... and now it became like an competition between LisaM and Umarim.
Looks like a primary school fight.
And if tomorrow a guy manage to design a flying paparazzi autopilot using a
Z80, you will kill him (verbally on paparazzi-devel)?
I hope it's not a matter of money or jealousy...

Aspirin ( the IMU ) is a SMD module that is soldered on Lisa/M, there
are no wires, only PCB tracks ( you can see it on this picture :
http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/Image:Lisa_M_V1_0_bottom.jpg ). This
allows to use a more advanced manufacturing process for the IMU than
for the rest of the autopilot, to use Lisa/M without the IMU populated
( for applications where it's not needed, eg as smart CAN servo
driver) as well as flexibility for revisions. The impact in term of
weight or volume is negligible, for example compared to the full size
servo connectors.
