Dear Heinrich,

The ROM version is not a "problem". A small battery is one nice option indeed, but in many (other) situations it is "useful" to be able to (re)configure. (e.g. when you bought a new GPS, want to update your old UTM configured tiny1.3's without making cables again or have a ROM version without RAM-battery).

Hello Christophe,
is the ROM version a problem? We had same problems with the battery charge (NL-507ETTL). After a few hours of  power on  the battery
was charged  and the configuration was stored for months.

Hello World,

I'm searching for all people out there that use boot time GPS configuration for UBlox. I would like to move all that code to a more powerful module that can also be used to (re-)configure any UBlox module without tunnels or special wires.

But before I merge the code (https://github.com/paparazzi/paparazzi/pull/68) to master I'd like to know who'is still using the -DGPS_CONFIGURE define.

There were some issues with this gps_configure code so it very recently moved to a more powerful module:

<load name=gps_ucenter.xml>

It has autobaud and tries to figure out the module version. Just a the proper define if you do not use the modules default ubx_port1.
