Which controller you got?
since you can see the changing values in the console then either there 
is a wiring error,
a configuration error or you bought a non compatible controller.
Since the program is running with out any errors maybe it is not compatible
All the tests were carried out with the Pololu micro maestro USB (6 
servo controller)
but if you have a different one i can look for changes that are needed.
