I think that what you see is the normal behavior since in Auto1 and 
especially Auto2 the autopilot
tries to fly a plane that is not airborne!
Go outside and after you get a GPS lock switch to Auto1 while making 
sure that the IR sensors see clear space for at least 20m.
When you are inside a building thermal reversing or low contrast can 
cause strange behavior.
The ailerons and elevator should barely move or stay where they were in 
Manual mode.
If this is the case then you are alright but if the surfaces move 
erratically then yes there is something wrong.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT THE MOTOR OR REMOVE THE PROPELLER FIRST.
