Hi,

you asked if you where "missing" something:
I wasn't able to read that you also purchased a telemetry link. Perhaps you forgot to write it, but don't forget to buy it :-)

Cheers

Hi all,

if you remember we are the group of undergrade students from France
building a drone for a project. Our current status is, that we received
a Tiny2.11 and a PPM encoder board from PPZUAV as a generous offering
(in return for stickers on the plane) and that we assembled the plane.
Currently, the weather is rather cold and foggy so we'll wait some time
before learning how to fly the plane (at first without Paparazzi, then
make some tests on the ground with Paparazzi, then with Paparazzi).

Well, we are still missing infrared sensors and another receiver (which
we can manipulate as the one we are using right now doesn't belong to us).

For the receiver:
- we are using a radio control which works at 2.4Ghz
- the current receiver is "Futaba FASST 7-channel receiver"
- we thought about buying a new one of this type, because there we can
be sure that they (control + receiver) work nicely together. The
decision to buy a new one is due to the fact that in the wiki a
procedure of solding is described, and we are not allowed to make
permanent changes to our current receiver (question: could we avoid
making permanent changes to it with the help of the PPM encoder board?)

For the infrared sensors:
- which one to take? Which works flawlessly with the Tiny2.11? I didn't
really find any modell number or something, nor any vendor??

Are we missing anything else?

Thanks for any help, we really appreciate it.

Best regards,
Christian

p.s.: an official "thank you" to David Conger :-)
