For those who will add relays don't forget to add a fast recovery diode (a Schottkey 1N5819 will do) paralleled with a 0.1 microfarad capacitor at the relay's solenoid (energizing coil) terminals. The diode's anode goes to relay's "-" and the cathode to "+" so the diode is reverse biased. The relay's coil acts as a high voltage generator when the current is cut and i have measured
generated voltages in excess of 3Kv.
I am sure you all knew that but just to be safe.....
