Also please can you disable the IPD filter and try again?
I went through the code and there is nothing that can induce that behavior.
The only thing that i can think off is that the chip is defective or something is wrong with the wiring.
Do you power the receiver from the PPM board?
If not remember to remove the jumper of the PPM board otherwise you will have two power sources colliding. Also it is certain that the 8th channel is not recognized during power up because either the cpu does not see a pulse there or the pin is defective. If it was then you should get a PPM off led indication when the channel goes missing. Tomorrow i will connect an encoder of mine to the 12 channel IPD receiver and a Royal Evo 12 i have and try to reproduce the problem although i doubt i will because all the development was done with this setup....
