[Paparazzi-devel] Improving Auto2 flying.

Hi,

I am trying to improve the Auto2 flying of my Twinstar2. Standby circles, figure 8 and Oval are already fine now.

Last session I tried to change the circle rotational direction while flying right turns in Standby. I clicked Circle left. The plane did not manage to perform this maneuver. It made several tight turns to break out from the existing circle, but never managed to enter the path of a left circle. When I clicked the Standby block again, normal right-turn Standby was re-established.

The Standby circle is 65m radius. I am not sure what determines the radius of the "breakout" turns. Any hint on this?

What puzzles me is that I cannot find a reference to the GCS Circle buttons in the flight plan. Should I? Or where else is this command performed?

Is there something I could tweak to make the plane able to do the switch of rotation direction? By flying nice figure8's, the plane has shown it's ability to turn both right and left in Auto2.

Also, is it possible to configure GCS to "no http" as default in maps policy?

Thanks for any help,
Helge.
