finally, I could solve the problem. I had forgotten a parameter of the modems' configuration(the set adress low FFFF one).
yesterday we flew our UAV for first time ever in auto2, it was wonderful! thanks to the great paparazzi proyect. we'll go on working with it.

A quick think to try is to short Tx & Rx on the airplane side; connect 'tip', 'Hyperterm' or a similar terminal app to the station side - and then check if characters roundtrip - i.e. echo back - or if there is sporadic corruption.
