Hi,

it is hard to tell what reaction to expect from the system without knowing the 
wiring and switching modes exactly.

In general it sounds like you got range problems with the receiver sending out 
random values leading to strange behaviour.

Be sure to perform range checks with the plane in different orientations on the 
ground. Only fly if these are ok.

It can help just to reposition the receiver/antenna.
