Am I right in thinking that there was an effort at some point to move away from OCAML? Would that code be easier to understand. I appreciate we cannot modify it but I would be keen to take a look.

Hi,

Pascal was almost the only one to know the GCS code. Still, I have a little idea of what to do (with the help of the other ocaml teacher at Enac). But I really don't have the time right now. I keep your request in mind and I'll try to work on it during the summer. By the way, if you have an idea of the convenient way to describe the groups of buttons, tell me.

If you want to try it by yourself, look in live.ml:491. It's here that we buttons are added to the strip. I think you can create a vertical group of buttons and add them the same way.

The "polysurwey" function from osam team is probably using the sectors drawing functions (the sectors can't be modified for now) and the regular survey is using an Ivy message (SURVEY_STATUS) to draw the rectangle dynamically. It will need some work to change this...

Hi Andrew,

The problem is you have to understand the program language ocml.
I`m beginner in C and changed some thing in paparazzi but the ocml files are difficult for me.

the strip buttons are controlled in strip.ml and gtk_strip.ml files

the poly survay line, I have no idea how to do this.

kind regards bart

Hi all,

I`m looking for a ocml king who can change some things in the groundstation.
I have tried to change some thing but no success.

first the strip buttons:
I have 10 buttons and the all come behind each other. they disappear behind the Notebook and the console.
can somebody reprogram this so that you can place buttons in more rows than one.

second:
when we use the osamNav.h poly survey function you can change the way points but the poly gone is not redrawn.
when we use the survey S1 S2 (rectangle) the rectangle is redrawn when I move S1. can dis be done for the poly survey.

When this is not been don in ocml but in c please let me know which file than I can change it.

regards Bart Remes
