You would need to make the ADC see something less than 3.3Volts. I
would suggest a voltage dividing circuit. Then you would just need to
write code to monitor that ADC(not unlike the infrared.c code), and
create the scale so when say the ADC reads 3.3V you show a value in
your messages of 8.4.
