All,
I think some are failing to realize that this project is unfunded.  The people who work on it do it either for fun, for business, or for education.  Because of these reasons the development tends to move towards the direction of focus on these fronts.  The original GPS used in paparazzi1 used NMEA.  Since then the system moved to a Ublox receiver simply because it was the smallest and best out there.  Once it was determined that the Ublox was the best it was also found that Ublox's protocol was much more efficient then NMEA, and thus it was used for the project.  To say that because there is no software in the CVS to support NMEA some how closes this project, or makes it "less" open source is a joke.  This is like saying that because we use only IR sensors or Arm7 processors that we are somehow lacking.  If you write any software for this project, its really on you to test it thoroughly before you post it for all.  Marcus, for you to assume that someone should test your software, or that you should throw it onto the CVS without testing it is pretty crazy.

Eh, just my 2 cents, so Im off my soap box.

I can try to set up the gps-stix board this night and test my nmea-
code some more. (I finally got an active antenna that is small enough.)

I guess I can have my IR-boards from David by May and do my first
flights with GPS-waypoints then.
Who else is willing to test the nmea-code?
Anyone wants to set his ublox to nmea-mode and fly around via RC
to see if the telemetry looks fine?
As far as I remember parsing satelite-visibility was still commented out
when I posted the parser.

Who can give me SVN-access, so I finally will be able to upload that
source-file and the bugfixes and added comments to existing code
I posted here month ago?
(I asked about this and the checkin-policy multiple times but noone
ever answered.)

Marcus
