Alan,
I came into this project from Protel DXP land as well, but instead
decided to learn Eagle. I am not regretting it due to the seat cost of
Protel being $10,000+ and Eagle being $400-1200. Not really a
productive response, but discussion none the less. I have yet to see a
tool that can do these conversions however theres plenty of freeware
gerber viewers that will let you view. Eagle is also free to
view/print the 4-layer design used in Paparazzi so unless you actually
intend on making structural changes, you may get along fine. Group
members could also produce the CAM/Gerber files for you.
