[Openexr-devel] Compiling w/ MSVC toolkit

Has anyone had any luck building OpenEXR 1.2.2 with the free MS compiler version? It is supposed to be the same compiler as VC7, sans IDE. Thus it seems it can't understand the vc7 project or solution files, nor does it include MSVCRT.lib, which it nonetheless wants to link to when I try to use the pre-built OpenEXR libraries.  Can the real VC7 export a makefile from a project suitable for its crippled red-headed stepchild, MS Visual C++ Toolkit?
