In preparing to do this, I found that I had two copies of liblo
installed, one in /usr/lib and one in /usr/local/lib. I removed both
then installed a fresh copy of liblo 0.22 in /usr/lib. I have to go to
work now, but running om_gtk does not cause om to crash, and a sizeable
gui window pops up and waits for input. I presume that it is running
correctly.
That still leaves my laptop where it will not compile. I think the first
line of attack would be to copy the binaries off my desktop machine onto
my laptop given that both are FC4. There's also a guy in our library who
says that he is an expert at compiling linux programs and the various
supporting programs, and I might get him to have a go.
Cheers,
