[Om-synth] Compiling om-synth

Several times over the past year or so I've tried compiling om-synth.
Despite trying on different linux distros, and despite trying as hard as
I can, I've never got anywhere near compiling it. At present the
configure script complains about gtkmm being missing even though I have
it installed. 

Would it be possible for someone to compile om-synth as a static
application (libraries included in binary) and post the binary
somewhere? I wouldn't expect anyone to maintain this binary, but I would
like to have something to play with.
