Dear Maintainers,
in April 2020 the next Long-Term-Support (5+5 years) version 20.04 of
Ubuntu Linux will be released. On February 27th, there will be a
feature freeze of the development repositories and pulled Debian
repositories ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FocalFossa/ReleaseSchedule ).
Hence, the by then released Octave version will be used for up to the
next ten years in one of the largest Linux distributions and its
derivatives (i.e. Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu MATE, etc.).
Thanks for considering this in the development and release process
Christian Himpe
