John,
I just did a build using gcc-4.8.2-7 on FC 20.
This produced the message from ./configure that
the gcc had the bug was not found. And, the build
completed without problems and make check was
just like under fc19. So, the fix was applied
between 4.8.2-1 and 4.8.2-7. And, your test works
as is,
