Interest in deleting single line from history?

Is there any interest in a single line delete for history?  I ask 
because with screen saver variation across systems (on some systems the 
screen goes blank but does not lock the screen...on others the screen is 
locked) it isn't too difficult to inadvertently type a password in the 
history buffer when thinking it was intended to unlock the account.
