No worries, Octave devs broke nothing.
I think Nitzan made a slight hitch somewere in the first 3.4.2 MinGW binary
he provided a while ago. A later build + his 3.4.3 MinGW version work OK in
GUIOctave. As you can read in that very thread.
So, AFAICS this is all a bit moot.
