Required version level of Fortran compiler? |

A user attempting to compile Octave on a Solaris system is having trouble
with the recently added arpack code. The issue report is here
http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?31926. In particular, his f90 compiler is
objecting to the intrinsic function etime. From the documentation I can
find, GNU Fortran added etime to f95. Does Octave now require Fortran
versions above f77?
