Follow-up Comment #6:
everything i could find just reused the same published 256 color map we were
using. updated all of the color map defaults to 256 colors including the
graphics.cc map. pushed to
https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/dfb9b770ae77
on default. also added BISTs to all of the color maps. probably not
comprehensive, but at least checks the current input validation. builds and
passes a make check. That should satisfy issues on this report. Marking as
ready for test. Will continue input validation improvement over on bug #65011.
