explicitly mentioned in the docs and the NEWS file, but probably should be.

It is in the docs, didn't check since when, but referenced from a sentence
which only mentioned Octave < 5.1. This is corrected now with changeset
c0073935e1db.

Anyway, closing this report as invalid.
