Follow-up Comment #3, bug #62445 (project octave):
Use:
>> load imgsc
>> msgbox('123','MSGBOX Title', 'custom', imgsc)
ans = -1.5636
>> msgbox('123','MSGBOX Title', 'custom', img)
ans = -43.051
for real image test, it works fine.
