Details:

When closing a parenthesis or bracket, the indication of which parenthesis is
being closed is indicated by momentarily moving the cursor back to the one
being closed.

I initially perceived this as an annoying and janky bug, and attempted to
manually correct the cursor position.

Is it possible to indicate this by leaving the cursor where it is, but
momentarily highlighting the relevant parentheses/brackets? This is how the
Kate text editor handles this, for example.
