Follow-up Comment #2, bug #60693 (project octave): One of the more interesting questions raised here, is why does "octave --interactive" at the command line imply that readline line editing is disabled? That looks like a logic error in options parsing to me. I'll file a new bug report about that. The rest of this is the same as previously reported bug #37795 and bug #43130.
