Follow-up Comment #1, bug #60687 (project octave):
These same like basic functions, I don't think this is specific to the control
package, maybe update the summary if you can confirm that any trivial oct file
shows similar problems.
There has been some work recently on the development branch related to library
symbol visibility, and some of that is specific to macOS, but I haven't
followed too closely, nor do I use macOS. Refer to the thread here:
