Details:

When the plot range is small compared to the absolute value, the plot produces
an incorrect image.

e.g.:
plot(740000+(1:100)/100000,1:100)

This is for example very noticable when plotting a function against a date
number. If the plot axis range is limited to a few hours,we have a situation
similar to the above example.
