Details:



I've octave installed through homebrew. Starting the gui version of octave
works fine, but when trying to exit, the cursor switches to the rotating disk
in rainbow colors, and the octave window never finishes (I've waited for at
least 10 minutes). Only a "killall -9 octave-gui" will get rid of the process.


I've also installed octave from source using 
    brew reinstall --build-from-source octave
and see the same result. Therefore, I send this report to octave and not
homebrew.
  
Starting the cli version of octave does not show this problem. 
I'm running macOS High Sierra v 10.13.6, with XQuartz 2.7.11, on a MacBook Pro
Retina (late 2013)

Attached is the error log.

I've also submitted a bug report to homebrew

I do not know which one is more appropriate.
