Follow-up Comment #2:

The griddatan test failure has already been discussed on bug #50494 and bug
#57468, no need to discuss that yet again here.

Both of the bugs mentioned here used to be "xfail" and went to "regression"
only because of a one-character update in revision b31a118729ed
(https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/b31a118729ed).

@jwe, others, do we have a way to mark bugs that we want to keep testing and
reporting as known failures, even though we close the corresponding bug report
as "won't fix"? Does that status accurately describe why these tests fail but
the corresponding bug reports have been closed?
