Follow-up Comment #7, bug #57658 (project octave): It looks like the colors in the GUI are the same as the ones in the CLI. These colors have a nice contrast to the black background in the CLI. But some of them are poorly visible against the white background in the GUI. Is there a way to set the default foreground color for the Windows console? I didn't find any. The command window on Windows has many deficiencies anyway. And I still hope that we might have a true cross-platform replacement sometime in the future. Thus, I think Kai's work-around might be a good intermediate fix.
