Follow-up Comment #27, bug #41215 (project octave):

I think running both tests and demos is not desirable for a "pkg test"
command.

The "bin" subdirectory seems like a package feature that is not actually
widely used in practice, and should maybe be deleted to simplify the pkg
command. But if you want to be complete, it would be easy to also save and
restore the value of EXEC_PATH.
