Follow-up Comment #1:

I obtain the same result as you do if I compile Octave against a version of
gl2ps that is too old (<1.4). Can you check that the following returns false:


__have_feature__ ("GL2PSLINEJOIN")


The long story is that since gl2ps doesn't support closed path, we change le
line join/cap to round for some non right-angle-markers. This is not ideal
(when you have this feature) but better than nothing (in your case line
join/cap are not implemented in gl2ps).
