Follow-up Comment #38, bug #44670 (project octave):

To test the patch from comment #36, use the file testfig.fig attached to
comment #30 and check whether the first and third listboxes have a contextual
menu.

hgload ("testfig.fig");

uicontextmenu is indeed 'special' in the sense that specifying its parent is
not enough and one also has to explicitly fill in the 'uicontextmenu' property
of the parent as described in the note here:
