Follow-up Comment #1:

Thank you for the bug report. The same warning is issued whether or not "grid
minor on" is used. What you are probably noticing is that the warning is only
issued once per Octave session, if you quit Octave completely and try again
you will see the warning in either case.

The warning is correct that ghostscript is not in the flatpak bundle, and this
has supposedly been fixed in the flatpak repository (see
https://github.com/flathub/org.octave.Octave/issues/59), but a new successful
build has not been published yet.

Despite the warning, not error, the output file is saved successfully with
either set of commands. There is no Octave bug here.
