Follow-up Comment #9, bug #56158 (project octave):
The missing tab close buttons on MacOS is also reported for other software
based on qt. There is a workaround using a close button by menas of a style
sheet, which is used in the attached patch. This works on my system but I have
no possibility to test this on MacOS.
It would be very helpful if someone could test this patch on MacOS, preferably
if the reported issue shows up on the target system.
