Hi,
Yes, this is a known issue (see bug #44735): see also the plot comparison page
([1], search for "patch" keyword).
Basically, when two patches have the same z coordinate, OpenGl has a way to
disambiguate which one should be drawn on top of the other : glPolygonOffset.
Unfortunately this doesn't work for line primitives that we associate with
polygons (see e.g. [2]).
Can you report in bug #44735 the additional informations you brought: pdf are
rendered correctly in ML.
