URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?30478> Summary: prelinking causes octave to crash Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: alexl Submitted on: Sun 18 Jul 2010 02:01:06 PM MST Category: Libraries Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Crash Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 3.2.4 Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: Originally reported in Fedora: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=524493 Currently our package has to explicitly disable prelinking for octave because prelinked binaries cause crashes. So we include /etc/prelink.conf.d/octave.conf with contents: -b /usr/bin/octave-<version> to disable prelinking, where <version> is the latest version, currently 3.2.4. Ideally this workaround would not be necessary. A backtrace is at: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=361834 _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?30478> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
