[nrdo-list] Transactions (Answer found!)

We discovered, after a little more digging, that Microsoft disabled network access for DTC in Windows XP when they released SP2. We simply allowed network access for MSDTC and it works like a champ when hosted on our local machines. Were still incurring the added overhead of a distributed transaction, which is eliminated if youre using Sql Server 2005, but now we can continue to use our Sql Server 2000 database and dont have to license Sql Server 2005.
