Thank you all for your help. Its weird that so much changes from version to
version of DirectX that it makes a system unusable. I have removed all of
the old files and cleaned my registry. I thin relinked visual studio 2003
and Visual Studio ver 6.0.

  I now have all of my libraries compiled in the 3D system and now I am
finishing the rest. Thank you all once again for your help.

i recently redid the entire compile of NeL with the DirectX Summer 2003 
Update SDK this is the only sdk available for download with 2003 in the name

on the msdn site.

although the errors where similar they where no the same i would check your 
include and library directory listings and make sure you removed the 2004 
sdk's paths and added ( if they are not there already ) the 2003 sdk.

and here is the important part then move the 2003 SDK's entry to the very 
top of the include and library path list just under STLPort which should be 
the first entry if you have set it up correctly

AAAAAH! What a huge bunch of ugly formatted HTML emails.... from three
different authors no less.

Would people please let others read their email the way they like it?
I'm not impressed by your blue coloring, bold parts and Windows fonts.
